About Us
Long Island Permit and Compliance LLC was founded by a Suffolk County property owner who learned firsthand just how confusing and frustrating the permit and compliance process can be.
As a self-managing landlord with multiple rental properties in Suffolk County for over a decade, I've dealt with nearly every situation a property owner can face. Rental permits, inspections, violations, open permits, unpermitted work, and more. Managing those properties taught me how the towns operate, what they look for, and how to navigate situations that can feel overwhelming if you've never been through them before.
On top of that, I spent three years going through the process of legalizing an accessory apartment through the Town of Babylon. If I knew then what I know now, it never would have taken three years.
What I discovered along the way is that the process is complicated, the rules aren't always clear, and most homeowners have no idea where to start or who to turn to. Permit expeditors work with the town, not necessarily for you. Lawyers are expensive. And the town itself isn't always easy to get straight answers from.
That experience is what led me to start this business. My goal is simple: to help Long Island property owners understand what they're dealing with, what their options may be, and how to approach their situation with more confidence.
I'm not an expeditor. I don't submit paperwork, attend hearings, or work with any municipality. I'm completely independent, just someone who has been through it and wants to help others navigate it.
